Faraday Future partners with LG on EV batteries

Faraday Future, the well-funded electric vehicle startup, is partnering with LG for the lithium-ion battery cells in its upcoming EVs. LG makes batteries for a number of electric vehicles including the 60kWh pack in the Chevy Bolt, which should hit dealers late this year.

LG and Faraday Future have worked to develop a "tailored cell chemistry," according to a press release. It isn’t specified whether this is a custom battery built solely for FF, or if the companies have merely been working on technology together.
