Have You Heard The One About The Luxembourg A400M?

A joke told at Airbus Military about the A400M goes something like this: "Why was one of the requirements for the A400M that it be able to pull 3 Gs? So that it can fly within Luxembourg airspace."

But seriously, one of the eight A400Ms being acquired by Belgium will be paid for by Luxembourg and the Grand Duchy plans to provide air crew.

Luxembourg makes up for its small size by contributing financially to NATO and EU defense activities and its army has operated together with Belgian troops in such places as the Balkans and Afghanistan.
