iPhone 5 predictions (design, specifications and more): "
iPhone 5
Now that the iPhone 5 is five or so months away, we thought that it would be fun to give our predictions on the device, for us to be able to say “We told you so!” in the future when the device actually hits store shelves. For those who don’t know, this 2011′s iPhone 5 has been delayed until September. Our predictions are based on recent rumors, experience, and our unique secret formula for product predictions.

The iPhone 5 will be to the iPhone 4 what the 3GS was to the iPhone 3G. In other words, the design won’t change much. iPhone 4′s “death grip” antenna issue will be fixed, and the phone will be available in both GSM and CDMA flavors. Also, we can expect iPhone 5 to come in both black and white versions from the get-go.

When it comes to hardware changes, we can probably compare the iPad 2 to the first generation iPad for some inspiration. iPhone 5 will feature a 1GHz dual-core Apple A5 CPU and 1GB of internal memory, instead of the current single-core Apple A4 and 512MB of RAM.

The iPhone 5 will have upgraded multimedia capabilities, with a 4-inch display (up from 3.5-inches) and an 8 megapixel camera (up from 5), and if we’re really lucky; Apple might even add support for NFC (allowing us to pay with our iPhones).
